"Basement Dwellers of the Future"

Films: The Time Machine (1960)

Alias: None

Type: Natural

Location: Forest/Underground

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: When it comes to cataclysms, they and time together can separate the strong from the weak. In this case, the strong remained on the surface and became infantile, while the weak stayed below and became...something else.

History: After a devastating nuclear war, man divides into two species. Those who choose to stay above as the world recovers become the passive, naïve Eloi, while the ones who went underground became the ferocious Morlocks. Eventually, the Morlocks needed food, and what better way to get some than to feast on the ignorant masses living upstairs? In no time, the Eloi, having nothing to defend themselves, became cattle for the beasts. Then in the year 802701, a time traveler shows up.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: The fate of the Eloi and the Morlock's relationship is uncertain after the traveler leaves, but judging by the showing of defense for once on the Eloi's part and the destruction of some Morlock structures, the beast's reign could be coming to an end. And that's without thinking if the war could be stopped.

Powers/Abilities: The Morlocks have access to a siren from the war that lures the Eloi in, presumably due to past trauma.

Weakness: A hatred of bright lights and fire.

Scariness Factor: 4-Aside from looking absolutely hideous, one must cringe at the plight of the Eloi. A bunch of human beings stripped of their ambition and intelligence by time being picked off by their own brothers due to the latter's horrid evolution. Not very pleasant.

Trivia: -The traveler's name is H. George Wells. As in H.G. Wells. Keep in mind the original novel didn't give the lead a name.

-The Morlock name is most likely a deviation of the Morlachs, a group of Croatian people that have been described as being rather archaic compared to the rest of the world. It's kind of offensive when you think about it.
